Amardeep Sandhu, M.D.

Dr. Sandhu is a pediatric physician with special interest in childhood obesity and diabetes. She joined PCA in fall 2010. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Texas A & M University in College Station and completed medical school at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She served her residency in General Pediatrics at the University of California - Irvine.

She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Texas Medical Association and is Board Certified in Pediatrics. During her residency Dr. Sandhu was named Resident of the Month and Resident of the Year. She also received the Director's Award.

Dr. Sandhu is affiliated with Lake Pointe Medical Center.

Dr. Sandhu is a college football fan, rooting for the Texas Aggies. She enjoys most sports in her spare time.

She has wanted to be a doctor since she was four years old. "I had the most amazing pediatrician. He was such an important part of my life and I wanted to do what he did," she says. "As physicians we have the power to help shape children's lives. Sometimes we forget that what youngsters need for success is a little encouragement."
